Obsidian × Claude
A Claude-driven workflow that reconstructs and fills my Obsidian vault from real work activity - journals, project notes and index, kept current with almost no manual writing.

- Concept and the full Claude workflow.
Keeps a learning journal and project notes current from real activity, with near-zero manual writing.
- Journals written from real work activity
- German Lernjournale, structured automatically
- Vault kept current, near zero manual writing
The problem
Keeping a learning journal and project notes up to date by hand is exactly the kind of repetitive work that slips - so the vault was always behind reality.
A workflow where Claude infers what I actually worked on and writes it back into Obsidian in the right structure, instead of me typing it after the fact.
What I did
- Defined the vault structure so Claude knows where journals, project notes and the index live.
- Gave Claude the signals to reason from - git logs across project dirs, file modification dates and conversation context.
- Let it draft weekly Lernjournale in German with a Tätigkeiten / Reflexion / Plan structure and update Current Projects and the index.
Outcome
A vault that stays current with almost no manual writing - Claude periodically fills the gaps from real activity, so the notes match what was actually done.
